Imphal, May 30 2010: Carrying on the protest movement against NSCN (IM) General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah's visit to Manipur, Meira Paibis staged a protest demonstration at Uripok Achom Leikai today.

The protest demonstration staged under the aegis of the Uripok Achom Leikai Nupi Lup used placards which read as "Muivah must not enter Manipur", "Manipur's territorial integrity cannot be compromised", "Both hills and valley wants peace" etc.

Uripok Achom Leikai Nupi Lup president RK Ranisana said that Muivah should have work for integration of all communities and promotion of communal harmony if he is a real son of Manipur.

Asserting that Muivah's attempt to visit Manipur has an ulterior motive to sow seeds of discord among different communities of Manipur, Ranisana denounced all acts of communalism.

Saying that Muivah was a criminal, she hailed the decision of the SPF Government to bar entry of Muivah to Manipur.
