Imphal, June 24: Besides the existing issues on publication/non publication of a press release from the proscribed KCP (Lamphel), a joint meeting of the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and Editors held this afternoon at Manipur Press Club deliberated on the press statement of Kokkai Meitei published in some sections of media today.

The joint meeting decried the press statement issued by Kokkai with reference to his earlier statement which seems to indict the AMWJU general secretary individually.

An AMJWU release informed that it has been confounded at the insistence and threats by Kokkai Meitei and City Meitei to publish a particular press release issued by KCP (Lamphel) while Lamphel himself has been maintaining silence on the matter.

After discussing the various conditions put up by different KCP groups including the one by City Meitei which threatened not to publish newspapers on June 25 in case the press release of KCP (Lamphel) issued some days back is not published in tomorrow's edition, the joint meeting agreed to discuss all these matters in the scheduled meeting of all journalists tomorrow at Manipur Press Club.
