Imphal, January 16: With the Nagaland Assembly election round the corner, political parties of the State have exploited the ongoing NSCN(IM)-GOI peace talk to the maximum as a poll plank, through interpreting the issue from different angles.

While Chief Minister SC Jamir seems to pursue the flip flop stand about the ongoing parleys between the NSCN-IM leaders and Central Leaders in New Delhi, the Opposition Front, NPF headed by former CM Hokishe Sema has gone with the full backing to the ongoing peace talk considering that the issue could be the best bet and bait for the forthcoming election in the State.

Chief Minister SC Jamir who who ridicules the NSCN (IM) peace dialogue more often than endorsing it, has said that Th Muivah and Issak Swu had taken a wise decision that the NSCN (IM) would not interfere the forthcoming election in Nagaland.

SC Jamir who has been saying repeatedly that the New Delhi can give the Nagas money but not peace, stated that Naga political problem can be worked out only by- involving all the Naga faction including over ground and added that "charity begins at home".

While calling SC Jamir as "roadblock" to the Naga peace process Muivah condemned that Jamir did not represent the true aspiration and wishes of the Nagas.

On the other hand, the Nagaland Opposition alliance the NPF has expressed to extend full support to the peace dialogue.

The NPF in a press release has congratulated Prime Minister AB Vajpayee and the collective leadership of the NSCN(IM).
