Imphal, August 24: Even though former Chief Election Commissioner of India Krishnamurthy has been appointed to probe into the circumstances leading to the last minute exclusion of Monika from the Beijing squad, the Coordinating Committee formed against the ouster has decided to file a case before the Supreme Court of India against the officials responsible for the fiasco.

"We have already contacted the High Court Bar Association, Manipur and they have assured to move the Supreme Court," said Ph Deban one of the leaders of the Coordinating Committee, set up by a number of social organisations including the Manipur Olympic Association.

Deban said that necessary material and documents have been furnished to the lawyers and an advanced team including some lawyers will go to Delhi tomorrow to study the ground situation there.

A number of lawyers from Manipur who are practising in the Supreme Court have assured the help them on behalf of Monika.

On the probe being conducted by Krishnamurthy, Deban said that they are not satisfied with it, but lawyers from Manipur are ready to assist Monika in the probe.

Deban however added, "We will wait and watch the findings of the panel and the subsequent action taken up by the Government".

Deban reiterated that they would petition the Supreme Court to nail the officials responsible for ruining the career of Monika.

To protest the last minute exclusion of Monika from the Beijing squad, sportspersons from Manipur have boycotted all National and international sports meet.

The decision was taken at a public meeting held at Khuman Lampak on August 11 .

The North East Students' Organisation had also extended its support to the cause of Monika and the people of Manipur.
