Imphal, April 05: Even as a last ditch effort to work out a consensus formula of the DPA for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency failed to yield positive results, an agreement was reached for drafting a common manifesto.

The agreement for the common manifesto came about in the meeting held yesterday at the Lamphel residence of Federal party of Manipur (FPM) president Dr L Chandramani Singh.

Mention may be made that Dr Chandramani is the consensus candidate of the DPA for the Inner seat while in the Outer MPP's Kim Gangte Kipgen and Rosangzual of the Janata Dal (United) will contest.

The meeting resolved to term the Outer contest between DPA's constituent partners as a fraternal fight.

For drafting the common manifesto of the DPA, RK Anand of the DRPP has been appointed as the convenor while election Campaign Committee of the DPA which was formed yesterday's meeting will be headed by MNC president CM W Nipamacha as the chairman.
