Imphal, May 05 2010: Taking strong exception on the heavy deployment of security forces personnel at Mao Gate and adjoining areas, Mao Welfare Association Delhi (MWAD) and Mao Students Union Delhi (MSUD) demanded for imposition of President's Rule in the State.

A press release jointly issued by the two bodies alleged that the 'chauvinistic' ideology perpetuated by the State Government is soon acquiring a fascist and communalist overtones.

So, if such ideology is not corrected in time, it may even give a civil war, it cautioned.

The Mao bodies further said everybody including Naga leader Th Muivah has the right to visit his birth place.

As the Union Home Ministry has cleared the proposed visit of Muivah to his native village Somdal, there is nothing wrong with the visit, the two bodies claimed.

The two bodies also demanded over immediate withdrawal of security personnel from Mao and adjoining areas.
