Imphal, May 09 2010: Over 16 Manipur Government offices have been burnt down in different hill districts of Manipur during the last four days including the latest case of arson at two offices of the SDO, in Ukhrul district of Manipur on Saturday night, according to reliable sources, reports NNN.

The SDO offices of Chingai and Kamjong under Ukhrul district were set on fire by unknown persons last night, added the sources.

On May 7, offices of ZEO, Forest and Agriculture at Ukhrul district headquarter besides offices of Kasom Khullen SDO and Forest Beat of the same sub-division were torched by unknown persons.

In Chandel district, offices of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest Beat, Divisional Forest and newly constructed police station were set on fire on May 7 .

In the district of Tamenglong, district Agriculture office was also burnt down.

Earlier, the SDO office at Tadubi under Senapati district was razed to the ground on May 6 .
