Imphal, March 30: With two more candidates filling their nomination papers for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency the total number of candidates for the Outer seat in the upcoming 14th Lok Sabha elections has gone up to six.

The two candidates who filed and submitted their nomination papers today to Imphal West Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Returning Officer of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, are Holkhomang Haokip of the NCP from Chandel district and Valley Rose of the Naga National Party (NNP) from Ukhrul district.

Till yesterday D Loli Adanee of the BJP and Mani Cheranemai as independent candidate from Senapati district, Morung Mokunga and Rosangzuala of the JD (U) have already filed their nominations.

Last date of filling nomination for the Outer seat will be tomorrow and scrutiny scheduled to be conducted on April 2.On the other hand, official notification for filing nomination papers for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency will be announced by tomorrow and will expire on April 7.While scrutiny will be held the next day last date of withdrawal is likely to be fixed for April 10, said Election Office source.
