Imphal, Jul 25: Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), General Headquarters has categorically stated that the issue being raised by Naga student community for affiliation of schools in all the four districts of Manipur to Nagaland Board in lieu of Manipur Board at this point of time is conceivably framed to aid logistic support to the integration move of the districts in question with Nagaland.

Without mincing words, information and publicity secretary of the student body Paominthang Lupheng said a non-political issue like Education has been dragged in by the Naga students to serve their political purpose rather than the claimed discontentment over the contents of the BSEM syllabus.

Ironically the open support issued by the MP from Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency acting to the tune of NSCN (I-M) and UNC is much against the socio-political norms of the State and hence ridiculous apart from the fact that his consent had not be sought upon, the statement said, adding that the pluralities of the districts in questions have to be rectified in order to avoid unnecessary political bickering in the State.

In the light of the above fact, the statement pointed, any particular community's totalitarian attitude and authority over the others on callous attentions ranging from issues to solutions concerning regions, district, etc cannot be single-handedly dictated and mandated, howsoever.

Notably, the four districts in questions have been proportionately possessed and represented by both the Nagas and the Kukis in all sphere of domains, the statement said, rejecting the move being made to affiliate with NBSE as lacking acceptance and validity.

KSO, on the contrary would be subscribing to the offer of Manipur Government to learn one major Indian language provided the basic structure are readjusted to suit the congeniality of the learning communities.

However, compulsory inclusion of unpopular and complicated scripts (Meitei Mayek) or languages will be vehemently objected in the interest of the learning community, the statement stated firmly.
