Naobi's medical report with MHRC

Imphal, March 10: Report of the medical examination of Maibam Naobi Chanu has been reportedly submitted to the Manipur Human Rights Commission by RIMS Hospital authorities today.

Informed source on conditions of anonymity stated that tell tale signs of the girl made to endure physical exertions both in the external and internal body parts could be detected during medical examinations.

The source stating that two forensic experts of RIMS had prepared the report also cited detection of signs of Naobi's struggle and the use of force on her physically.

The report was handed over to the MHRC officials by the RIMS Director.

The rights body had insisted on the medical examination after the 25 year of girl from Yairipok Leirongthel accused police commandos of committing atrocities including sexual abuse while in custody.

Chairman of MHRC Justice W Shishak had also asked the RIMS Director to submit the report of the medical test by April 3.The State respondents were also asked to submit a detailed report on the matter by the same deadline for further hearings.
