DPA urges NSCN to reveal everything: Lungnila case

Imphal, February 03: The DPA MLAs including MNC and MSCP members will boycott the Assembly session on February 6 & 9.O Joy, President MPP addressing a press conference today along with DPA leaders said the decision to boycott the Assembly was taken in a meeting of DPA.

Elaborating on the matter he said the DPA members will not take part in any session presided by a person allegedly involved in the Lungnila Elizabeth murder case.

It is a sacrilege of democracy he said.

Democracy's image has been blackened he said.

The Governor's address will also be boycotted as the address is prepared by the Council of ministers.

Two ministers are allegedly involved in the Lungnila case as pointed out by NSCN (IM).

He appealed to the NSCN (IM) to come out with the facts before the beginning of the session.

For the first time in the history of Manipur a speaker has been charged of alleged involvement in a murder case he said.

L Ibomcha, MLA said the no-confidence motion of the speaker is not yet discussed in the house.

It would tantamount to breach of privilege of the member if a decision is reached even before the matter is discussed.

The speaker reportedly said all the charges are confounded.

Dr Nimaichand Luwang questioned if the state govt has officially intimated to the CBI about the case L Ibomcha said the state police cannot investigate a case handed to another agency.

The chief minister's statement on the matter is ambiguous.
