Imphal, January 18: A youth was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Hanu Chingmai Khong-nungpokpi, about 6 kms North of Yairipok police station at about 10.10 last night.

The deceased is identified as one Doulat Khan (26) s/o Md Tomba of Yairipok Changamdabi Makha Leikai.

It is reported that Doulat Khan was engaged in quarrying sand from river beds.

He left home last morning.

He was hit by two bullets in the face, one in the neck, another one in the left side of chest and one more in the right side of abdomen.

Post mortem was conducted at Lilong PHC before it was handed over to the family members today.
