Imphal, January 02: Ostensibly bowing to the wishes of the people, Chief Minister O Ibobi has announced his intention of contesting the election from Khangabok as well as Thoubal Assembly Constituencies.

Addressing a public meeting at Thoubal yesterday, the Chief Minister said that apart from contesting from his original AC at Khangabok, he will also contest from Thoubal AC according to the wishes of the people.

However the MPCC is yet to receive any official intimation from the Chief Minister on this point.

A well placed source said that being the leader of the CLP and CM the party may consider Ibobi's desire if an official intimation is received from him.
