Conveying deep resentment against the SPF Government led by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, all those who attended the shrada ceremony wore black badges.

The black badges were inscribed with such slogans and questions which read asWe condemn the killing of Uttam Kumar; Award exemplary punishment to the guilty commandos; Is the SPF Government headed by Chief Minister O Ibobi controlled by Manipur Police? and Chief Minister O Ibobi's Government is no longer a people's Government.

As the JAC refused to claim the corpse of Uttam Kumar demanding punishment to the commandos involved in the killing of Uttam Kumar at his Keishamthong Longjam Leirak residence, the corpse was cremated by the State.

The JAC further disclosed that it has made all preparations to take up strong democratic actions taking recourse to legal means.
