Imphal, March 26: In unrelated shooting incidents on March 23 and 24 an 18 year-old boy succumbed to bullet wounds at a Bishnupur district area while another youth of the same age has been wounded in an Imphal East district area.

Victim of the Bishnupur district incident has been identified as Arambam Kisan s/o Tikendrajit of Sekmaijin Bazar.

Kisan, who is informed to be a former PREPAK cadre and was released on bail on March 19 was abducted by unidentified persons from near his residence on March 22 morning and shot the next evening along the Chandpur-Keibul road.

Even though a profusely bleeding Kisan was rushed to RIMS Hospital he failed to recuperate.

Gun shot wounds could be observed on both his thighs.

The body had been handed over to family members.

The injured youth currently admitted to Shija Hospital, is said to be one Md Tolamu s/o Tamizur of Keirao Litan makhong but stays at a rented quarter in Checkon area.

The gunmen reportedly fired at Tolamu's back while he was talking on his mobile phone at Keirao Litan Makhong Thongyai (bridge) on March 24 evening.

Tolamu was a DI Tata operator (driver).
