Imphal, September 10: The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party, Military Counci,l KCP (MC) has claimed that two personnel of the 39 Assam rifles were killed and a Havildar injured in the bomb blast at Chingmeirong yesterday.

While asserting that the blast claimed two personnel and injured the Havildar, Military Affairs secretary of KCP (MC) Lanheiba Meitei insisted that keeping under wrap exact casualty figure had been the trademark of Indian military tactics to uphold morale of its troops.

lanheiba also regretted injuries suffered by '2-3' civilians with an explanation that utmost care was taken to ensure impact of the blast was felt entirely by the security personnel.

Further informing that the attack was carried out by a demo Team of 5th Laljaba unit, Lanheiba explained that the attack had to be planned at the said site as AR personnel frequents the location from they (AR ) are alleged to tease and make derogatory comments to the female members of the Manipuri society.

highlighting that KCP-MC is well prepared to launch more attacks, Lanheiba called upon the masses to tolerate inconveniences caused by actions of its cadres.

Those cadres/activists who were involved in the attack at Chingmeirong have been elevated to a more higher status, the statement added.
