Kohima, August 27: The Nagaland Gaon Buras (GBs) Federation has resolved to impose twelve hour total bandh throughout Nagaland on September 10 as to protest against the rampant killing of innocent civilians by anti-social elements.

The decision to this effect was taken during the day long meeting of the Executive Council of Nagaland GBs Federation held today at the Commissioner's office in Kohima.

Sources in the Federation revealed that the total bandh would be imposed from six in the morning to six in the evening, however medical, police, security forces and media would be exempted from the purview of the bandh.

The GB Federation have also requested the public to cooperate during the bandh.

The meeting also resolved to request the State Government not to make political appointments of GBs so that GBs would continue to remain as a neutral body without any political affiliations.

Discussing on the prevailing situation in the State, the Federation also decided to hold a general meeting with all the Naga Tribal Hohos, NGOs and other bodies to bring about peace and unity amongst the Nagas at the earliest.
