Imphal, September 05: Following UG threat of bombing over telephone in connection with certain demands, panic stricken officials and staff of the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports located at Khuman Lampak Sports complex today ran out from the office.

The incident occurred at around 3 pm today when an unidentified person who identified himself as a member of the an outlawed organisation telephoned the landline number of Director Boby Waikhom in connection with the failure of the Directorate to arrange the demand related to some sports items.

The telephone call had been reportedly received by the PA of the Director as the latter was not present at the office at that relevant time.

Besides using strong words to the PA, the caller had also threatened to lob a bomb within a short time, causing fear and panic among the officials and staff who trooped out from the building.
