Imphal, May 11: Superseding a statement issued by its information and publicity secretary Th Misao (May 5) on the killing of one Rolex, home secretary of Kuki Revolutionary Army L Jacob has clarified that Rolex Misao was slain by members of KNO/KLA and not KNO/ KNA as was reported by Misao.

Moreover, Jacob dismissed the assailants' claim of Rolex trying to snatch weapon or escape leading to his (Rolex's) death and contended that recovery of Rolex's body with his hands tied undoubtedly nullifies the theory of Rolex attempting to flee.

The KRA home secretary also conveyed that on subsequent inquiry into the killing involvement of personnel of the Assam Rifles, as was earlier presumed, could not be ascertained.

It was actually an operation conducted by a joint KNA-KLA team and under no circumstance was the AR officer or any other security force personnel involved, Jacob maintained while regretting inadvertent mistake on its part.
