Dimapur, April 11: Spokesman of the NSCN-IM and Deputy Kilonser of the Ministry of Information and Publicity, Kraibo Chawang while reacting to the report of arrest warrants issued against him and Home Minister Puni, has said that the motive of the Manipur Government is to sabotage the Naga peace process.

Talking to Newmai News Network tonight, Kraibo Chawang said that so many criminal activities are going on in and around Senapati but the Government of Manipur could do nothing and added that when the two Senapati kids were kidnapped there was a hue and cry from general public and various NGOs but the Manipur Government turned a blind eye to the episode.

"But when the NSCN extended its maximum effort and arrested some accused the Manipur Government was embarassed because of its inefficiency," said Kraibo Chawang.

He went on to say that if the Manipur Government wants to talk about handing over of the accused of the Senapati murder case then it should be done officially.

"Why did the Manipur Government straight away issue arrest warrant against us?" questioned Kraibo.

He said that there was an ulterior motive in issuing the arrest warrant against the two NSCN (IM) functionaries.

The NSCN-IM leader said that things should be officially done and that the matter should be discussed officially and not just simply issue arrest warrants to get the accused.

He further informed that the matter of the arrest warrant against him and the NSCN-IM's Home Minister will be tabled in the next round of talks between the GOI and the NSCN-IM.

He added that the talk will be held soon.
