Mass vaccination camps conducted

Imphal, June 30 2021: In all, 5242 people have been vaccinated during the ongoing mass vaccination programme organised by District Administration, Imphal West in association with CMO Imphal West on Wednesday.

According to a report from District Administration of Imphal West, 5193 people received the first dose of Covid vaccine at 33 vaccination sites, while 5252 received the second dose at 49 sites.

Meanwhile, under the aegis of Wangkhei AC MLA Y Erabot, Dewlahland Development Authority, Dewlahland Women Society and Dewlahland Youth Club organised a Covid-19 mass testing and vaccination programme at Kids High School on Wednesday.

Defence Union Club Charangpat in association with PHC Charangpat also organised a mass vaccination programme against Covid-19 on Wednesday.

According to club representative Kharibam Ratan, around 230 individuals were administered first dose of Covid vaccine during the programme.

Charangpat Maning Leikai has around 300 voters and there are 10 active cases of Covid-19 in the locality.

The vaccination programme was organised with the hope of making the locality Covid-free.

Ward No 9 members Konsam Surbala & Kharibam Shantibala, ward no 10 member Thiyam Khambi, club members and volunteers of local Covid Task Force played key role in organising the vaccination programme, he added.
