Imphal, November 15 2021: The ongoing Covid pandemic has opened up many unique challenges and opportunities for medical professionals.

To demonstrate its resolve towards fight against COVID- 19, on every Monday, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector/ IGAR (East) has been regularly administering Covid vaccination to civilians at it's headquarters in Tamenglong.

Also the unit mobile vaccination centres established for the same are reaching out to public in far flung areas in coordination with district hospital medical team and local Covid task force.

The aim is to provide free vaccination to the locals, senior citizens and residents of remote rural areas.

On 15 Nov 2021, the battalion conducted 80th such civil Covid vaccination session at it's battalion headquarters, Tamenglong.
