Guv flags off team AMASI for workshop in Myanmar

Governor Dr Najma A Heptulla flagged off the team of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) today evening from Raj Bhavan, Imphal for Advanced Laparoscopic Live Operating Workshop, Mandalay, Myanmar.
Speaking on the occasion, secretary, AMASI Dr Kalpesh Jani said that the association is dedicated to the noble cause of humanitarian service and well being of the people that inhabit the interior and remote parts of the country.
AMASI has more than 7,500 members from all across the country.
The Association had covered the neighbouring countries - Bangladesh and Sri Lanka the previous years.
This year, it is targeting Myanmar.
Nepal will be covered probably next year.
The team will stay in Myanmar for three days - March 8, 9and 10 for Advanced Laparoscopic Live Operating Workshop.
