FLAM crowned champions of Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament

Imphal, April 20 2025:
FLAM (Yaiskul) eked out a 1-0 win over FLAK (Kyamgei) in the final of the 23rd Challenge Cup Veterans Football Tournament 2025 at SAI NERC Turf Ground, Takyel, on Sunday.
The decisive moment came early in the match when L James netted the winning goal in the 5th minute, a strike that ultimately proved the difference between the two sides.
As champions, FLAM took home Rs 1,00,000 in prize money, while runners-up FLAK were awarded Rs 60,000 .

TBSFA, who finished in third place, got Rs 20,000 .
The tournament also recognised standout performers, with FLAM's 0 Ingobi named best goalkeeper, FLAK's K Priyokumar Singh claiming best defender award, and FLAM's Kh Manaoba Singh earning best midfielder title.
FLAK's Lalit Thapa was awarded best striker accolade, while Keishamthong FC's M Sanjitkumar (15 goals) took the top scorer honour.
FLAM dominated the individual accolades further, with L James Singh named best player, Ng Naobi Singh receiving the most valuable player (MVP) trophy, and N Tomba Singh securing the best coach award.
Additionally, Rainbow FC received a special prize, FLVKT were honoured with the fair play award.
