Daniel nets thrice as YOSC trounce TRAU 5-0, NACO hold SFC

Imphal, February 19 2025: YOSC, Khurai notched up a huge 5-0 win over TRAU, Kwakeithel as NACO, Nambul Mapal held SFC, Tera to a 1-1 draw in today's matches of the ongoing 17th Manipur State League.

In the Group A match staged this afternoon at Sagolmang ground, Laishram Daniel ran riot to hit a hattrick and set up YOSC, Khurai a comprehensive 5-0 win against TRAU.

YOSC got off to a flying start and raced to a 3-0 first half lead with star of the day Daniel scoring back to back in the 32nd and the 35th minutes after Obed Shaiza found the breakthrough three minutes into the game.

YOSC carried forward the momentum against the second string of TRAU after the restart and sealed the 4-0 lead as Daneil completed his hattrick in the 48th minute off a penalty kick before Keithellakpam Ibotomba converted another penalty kick in the 68th minute to make it 5-0 .

In a Group B match staged later in the day at the same venue, SFC enjoyed a slender 1-0 first half lead through Naorem Klose's early 8th minute strike but NACO cancelled out the lead at the stroke of the hour mark through Takhenchangbam Krishnanda Sharma.
