NCA, CDCC enjoy emphatic victories in MNCA Boys' U-14 tourney

Imphal, February 12 2025: NCA and CDCC triumphed with relative ease in Wednesday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25.At Lairenjam Public Ground, NCA dominated CCK with a resounding 307-run victory.

Batting first, NCA posted an imposing total of 356 /3, led by an unbeaten 195 from Thongam Rahul, Ahenba Longjam contributed 55, while Leishemba Meitankeishangbam (32*), and Anderson Naorem (14*) added valuable runs.

For CCK, Hidam Jibago and Ksh Bikramjit each claimed a wicket.

In response, CCK was bowled out for just 49 in 9.4 overs.

Ahenba Longjam starred with the ball, taking four wickets, while Thongam Rahul and Toijam Bhartesh picked up two wickets each.

Leishemba Meitankeishangbam and Thiyam Bikash chipped in with one wicket apiece to seal NCA's emphatic win.

Meanwhile, Taothong (Lamshang), CDCC registered an 8-wicket victory over LCC at Khudeiband Lampak.

Electing to field first, CDCC restricted LCC to 88 all out in 25.1 overs, with Iquebal Korimayum delivering an exceptional five-wicket haul.

Umar Faroqooue took two wickets, while Safiullah Bogimayum and Zakariya claimed one each.

Chasing 89, CDCC comfortably reached the target in 10.5 overs.

Zakariya led the charge with an unbeaten 39, supported by Umar Faroqooue (21), Afiq Hussain (8), and Safiullah Bogimayum (4*), securing a convincing victory.
