Manipur, Sikkim continue winning streaks

Manipur Sangais and Sikkim Pandas continued winning streaks with convincing results on the seventh day of the 1st North East Women's Football League 2022 at SAI Sports Complex, Takyel.
Manipur notched up a 2-0 victory over Mizoram Black Bears as N Priyangka scored both goals of the home team.
It was a see-saw battle for the major part of the game until Priyangka broke the 0-0 deadlock in the 73rd minute.
Priyangka then scored her second goal in the first minute of stoppage time to help the Saingais collect all three points.
Earlier, Sikkim registered a dominant 4-1 win over Nagaland Wild Hogs.
Luxmi Tamang put the Pandas in front in the 20th minute but the Wild Hogs restored parity in the 38th minute through Mhasikhonuo.
Sikkim immediately regained their lead when Naocha found the back of the net in the 39th minute before Lakophuti extended the advantage in the 53rd minute.
Then it was up to Pusparani who wrapped up the scoring and the victory with a 79th-minute strike.
On Thursday, Meghalaya Leopards will face Sikkim Pandas and Assam Rhinos take on Mizoram Black Bears.
