Thang-Ta technical training commences

A four-day National Thang-Ta Technical Official & Coaches' Training 2024 organised by Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom Makha Leikai under the aegis of Thang-Ta Federation of India commenced at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom on Monday.
In a release, Thang-Ta Maheikol secretary Huidrom Kirankumar Singh informed that the opening function of the programme was attended by World Thang-Ta Federation president Huidrom Premkumar Singh, Imphal West District Thang-Ta Association president Thounaojam Priyokumar Singh and Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur secretary Heikrujam Cha Babu as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The national level training is being participated by 46 officials and coaches from West Bengal, Haryana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and host Manipur.
In all, 26 participants from Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Assam, Telangana are stuck in Kolkata Airport due to Cyclone Remal and will attend the training in the later phase.
The release also conveyed that the participants will be trained on manual and digital scoring, 'Thanglon', 'Khonglon-Khutlon' and 'Thang-Haiba' .
