18th N Horichoron Memorial U-15 Boys Football Tournament begins

Jiribam, December 20 2024: The 18th edition of N Horichoron Memorial U-15 Boys Football Tournament kicked off today at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground under the aegis of All Jiribam Sports Association.

The tournament features 5 locals teams and top four teams after round robin league will advance to the semi-finals that will be followed by the title clash.

The opening match of the tournament saw KMYC, Kamranga and SBYC, Seakbosti sharing a point apiece after playing out a 3-3 chaw.

KMYC started brightly and were leading 2-1 at the lemon break thanks to goals from Shulu (12') and Komrul (21') as Abdul Ahad scored one goal for SBYC in the 14th minute.

After the restart, SBYC drew level through Azad Hussain in the 39th minute before Rezaul Haque overturned the lead in the 50th minute.

KMYC however did not lose hope and kept looking for the equaliser which they got through Shulu in the 64th minute.

The remaining part of the game saw two sides struggling to find the winner but the scoreline remained unchanged as the defence line on both the ends were up to their tasks.

Anandamol Club, Jirighat will play Sonapur GPSA, Sonapur in the next match tomorrow.
