Thai Boxing: Indrajit earns silver medal

Mayanglambam Indrajit (Ronald), a silver medallist at the 2024 Asian Thai Boxing Championship held in Goa, returned to Imphal on Tuesday.
Reflecting on his performance, Indrajit expressed regret at missing the gold but emphasised his determination to excel in the upcoming 2025 MMA Championship scheduled for January in South Africa.
He pledged to intensify his efforts to bring laurels to Manipur.
Indrajit also mentioned plans to participate in the subsequent MMA Championship in Thailand after his South African campaign.
Notably, Manipur's Wahengbam Devraj and Mayanglambam Indrajit secured gold and silver, respectively, in the U-17 category of the Asian Thai Boxing Championship 2024 .
The event, organised by the Thai Boxing India Federation (TBIF) under the auspices of the Asian Thai Boxing Confederation (ATC), took place in Goa from November 15 to 17, drawing competitors from five countries.
The Indian contingent achieved an impressive tally of 44 medals, including 28 gold, 15 silver, and 11 bronze.
The team was led by head coach and international gold medallist Laishom Ibungomacha, also known as Leslee Meitei, from Moinarbond, Cachar.
