IE Fencing C'ship : YDO dominate Day 3, win 4 gold medals

Imphal, June 12 2024: YDO, Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai clinched 4 gold medals out of 6 events on Day 3 of the 2nd Imphal East District Fencing Championship being underway at Khuman Lampak Fencing Hall.

K Dronel won YDO a gold medal in the junior boys' epee competition defeating Tondonshana of KHFA, Khongman Zone-4 in the final as his compatriot L Bomcha added another gold medal to the tally by getting better of Remo of MIISIKHOL, Khurai in the sabre final.

T Mangalleibi in the meantime bagged a foil gold medal for the same unit defeating Kh Anjali of OLA, Kongba in the final match before P Ambika picked the fourth gold medal in the junior girls sabre event by defeating Priya of KHFA in the final.

The day also saw KHFA claiming two gold medals through Kh Yaiphaba and L Chinglembi to keep their title hopes alive.
