PTRC, THAU-B cruise in Women's 1 Day Trophy

Imphal, February 03 2022: PTRC and THAU-B notched up easy wins in Thursday's action of the 1st MNCA Women's One Day Trophy 2021-22 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

PTRC handed a heavy 171-run defeat to THAU-B in the day's first match.

PTRC elected to bat first and posted a competitive total of 259/6 in 35 overs.

In their innings, Rk Lintho-ingambi took centre stage as she smashed an unbeaten 134 off 94 balls, with contributions from Ranjita Koijam (27), Kiranbala (16) and Bidyarani (13) .

In reply, THAU-B wilted under pressure and managed just 88/4 in 35 overs.

Niruta Thoudam (33) was the only notable run-getter for the losing side.

For PTRC, Linthoingambi Laishram, Rk Linthoingambi, Sayatombi Konsam and Binomala Chingangbam took a wicket each.

Later in the day, THAU-B made up for their loss to PTRC by securing a 5-wicket win over PTCC.

The Thangmeiband side opted to field and restricted PTCC to 101/6 in 25 overs.

In the first innings, both Shrili Irom and Thoudam Mangalsan scored 24 each.

In reply, THUA-B wrapped up their victoiy in 21.3 overs, making 102/5.Shehna Irengbam led from the front with 41 (not out) as Niruta Thoudam contributed 16 .
