Imphal, September 01 2024: Chungreng Koren defeated Katharaj Agasa to defend his bantamweight title in the main event of the Matrix Fight Night 15 (MFN15) at Noida on Sunday.

Chungreng floored his opponent in two minutes and 14 seconds inside the second round for his championship belt.

Meanwhile, Koireng Youth Organisation Manipur in a press release on Sunday expressed its elation at Chungreng Koren's achievement, stating that his victory is not only a joyous moment for him but also a proud moment for Manipur and North East India.

The organisation also hailed the MMA fighter's win against Agasa as an excellent performance to claim one of the highest-level titles.

The Koireng body urged the state government to support Chungreng Koren in his future efforts to bring more laurels to the state.

It also extended best wishes to Chungreng for his upcoming endeavours.
