State sepaktakraw meet commences

Imphal, May 27 2024: The 23rd Mini, 25th Sub-Junior & 25th Junior (Boys & Girls) and 38th Men and Women's State Sepaktakraw Championship 2024 organised by All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association (AMSTA) began on Monday at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.

On the first day of the championship which will be held till May 30, regu event matches for mini boys and girls were played in four groups.

In mini girls, HUDIC (B)-Heingang, IMSUC (A)-Heingang and YAWA-Singjamei won their respective Group A matches while in Group B PUC (A)-Kairang, HUDIC (A) and SWC (C) scripted victories as SWC(A), WVSD and PUC (A) in Group C and PUC (B), SWC (B) and HUDIC (B) overcame their respective opponents in Group D .

In the mini boys' regu, Model Club, Heingang; LKYDA, Laipham Khunou; HUDIC (A); YAWA (D); and FUC (B), Singjamei won their Group A matches.

SWC(B)-Hiyanglam, YAWA (C), HUDIC (B), PUC (A) and WAC, Singjamei also secured victories in Group B while YAWA (F), IMSUC (A), YAWA (B), YASTA(A)-Thoubal and FUC (A) coasted to the next round in Group C, with SWC (A), PUC (B), YASTA(B), YAWA (A) HUDIC (C) and IMSUC (B) also making it through in Group D .
