15th Manipur State League : NISA beat NACO 1-0; Momocha's free kick gives KLASA the last laugh against SU

Imphal, November 10 2022: North Imphal Sporting Association (NISA) and Keinou Library & Sports Association (KLASA) prevailed in their respective group matches of the ongoing 15th Manipur State League at Mini Stadium Bishnupur, today.

While KLASA beat Sagolband United 3-2 in the Group A encounter, NISA sealed a narrow 1-0 win over Nambul Mapal Athletic & Cultural Organisation (NACO) in Group-B match.

In the first match of the day, a second half goal from Huidrom Telheiba Singh in the 78th minute gave NISA a 1-0 win over NACO.

The second match saw Sagolband United (SU) losing to KLASA 3-2 in a fierce Group A encounter.

Pangambam Naoba Meitei opened the account for KLASA in the 18th minute while his team-mate Sudhir Laitonjam doubled the lead in the 50 minute but players of SU didn't show any cold feet despite the deficit and netted their first goal in the 58th minute through Haobijam Premananda Singh.

After narrowing the margin the difference to just a goal, both teams made many attempts to convert their chances but it was Ngairakpam Kasomwung of SU who made the effort count and drew level the scoreline to 2-2 in the additional time (90+2) .

The additional time of the match witnessed a heated contest between the two sides but KLASA ultimately had the last laugh as Nighthoujam Momocha Singh converted a free kick in the 90+8 minute.
