34th State Age Group Aquatic Championship kicks off at Khuman Lampak

The 34th State Age Group Aquatic Championship 2018 kicked off today under the supervision of Manipur Swimming Association at Khuman Lampak Swimming Pool with 300 players from 18 units participating in it.
Central Swimming Club (CSC) are leading the medal tally with 7 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 2 bronze medals at the end of the first day while KYO, Kongba are rallying closely with 2 gold medals.
Th Dekalu Panmei of CSC clocked 31.81 seconds to win gold in 50 m freestyle event for Group 2 girls while Ch Marina of ESU and K Urvashi of TYC bagged the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
In boys Group 1 50 m free style competition, Y Tondonba of KYO clinched gold with a time of 27.29 seconds while W Bonny of CSC and Ksh Kabhidas of SCK finished seeond and third respectively.
In boys Group 2 50 m breaststroke competition, Kh Nganba Meitei of WYLCO registered 34.46 seconds to secure gold while N Jameson Meitei and Ksh Malemnganba of KKDA claimed the silver and the bronze medals respectively.
In boys Group 5 50 m breaststroke competition, H Donba of CSC took 51.69 seconds to win the gold medal while K Stephen and Laitonjam Lanchenba of CSC settled for silver and bronze medals,respectively.
Group 1 Boys: KYO's Y Tondonba claimed first position in the 50 m butterfly event with a time of 28.84 seconds while W Bonny of CSW and SEDOC's Teris Nongmaithem claimed the second and the third spot.
Group 2 Boys: In the 50 m butterfly event for group 2 boys, Hiren Sagolshem of MGMC took 28.38 seconds to win the gold medal while his compatriot S Punsiba bagged the second place.
SEDOC's M Avinash claimed the third spot in this event.
N Jason of KKDA won the gold in the 100 m breast-stroke event of the same group taking 1:19.16 seconds while MGMC's S Punsiba and WYLCO's L Velenjitclaimed the second and the third spot.
Group 3 Boys: In the 200 m freestyle event, H Athoiba of CSC took 2:32.26 seconds to win gold while MGMC's Rahul Sagolshem and Kh Karlin of TYC finsihed second and third.
Group 4 Boys: In the 200 m individual medley event, CSC's H Naocha Sharma claimed the first spot with a time of 3:01.85 seconds while Richi Achom and E Topper of NLM finished second and third repectively.
In the 50 m freestyle event, H Naoba again won a gold taking 37.82 seconds while Richi Achom and H Telheiba of NLM went for the second and the third place respectively.
Group 5 Boys: H Donav of CSC bagged a gold medal in the 100 m freestyle event with a time of 1:35.34 seconds while his compatriots Laitonjam Lanchenba and Stephen Konjengbam finished second and third.
Group 4 Girls: In the 50 m breaststroke event for group 4 girls, K Kebashree of TYC fetched the gold medal with a time of 47.27 seconds while L Ritika- of CSC and Nishita of NLM bagged the second and the third spot.
L Ritika claimed her second medal in the form of gold in the 100 m freestyle event by taking 1:26.89 seconds.
Ejatiya of NLM and K Devaluxmi of SEDOC were able to finish second and third
in this event.
