Asmita Kickboxing League begins in Jiribam

Jiribam, August 03 2025: Asmita Kickboxing League kicked off today at RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalay a School's Indoor Hall inJiribam.

The event hosted by Jiribam District Kickboxing Association was formally opened by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar as chief guest in the presence of other dignitaries including local people's representatives and officials.

Athletes representing Cachar, Assam; Imphal West, Chandel and Jiribam districts are participating in the competition for different categories including - children, cadet (younger and older), junior (younger and older) and senior.

Speaking as the chief guest, DC Krishna Kumar lauded the organisers for the initiative and wished luck to the participants.

He also expressed hope that such events will not only help groom and tap talents but also help restore peace and progress in the State.
