NSU, AU, BRAU, TU prevail in East Zone Inter University Football (W) Tournament

Imphal, November 02 2024: NSU, Adamas University, BRA University and Tripura University enjoyed dominant victories in the East Zone Inter University Football (W) Tournament 2024-25, organised by National Sports University (NSU), here on Saturday.

NSU started the day with a 3-0 drubbing of DM University as Esha Mattil (29, 39) scored a double and Shubiangonon (4) contributed one in their win at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

In the second match, Adamas University handed out a 5-0 thrashing to RGU at RCC Ground 3.Rimkpa Haidar opened the floodgates with a 29th-minute goal, and Mou-sumi Murmu upped the ante with a double (37, 43) .

Priya Ruidas further stretched their lead in the 52nd minute before Piyali Roy rounded off the scoring in the 60th minute.

Later, BRA University cruised past Utkal University 5-1, with Nisha Kumari scoring a hat-trick (1, 50, 51) .

Lucky Kumari (45) and Puja Kumari added one goal apiece.

During the initial stage, the winning side conceded a goal in the 6th minute.

Tripura University pummelled Nagaland University 8-0 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Mousami netted a treble (6, 14, 16), Basanti (3, 44) grabbed a double, and Anjali (5), Kajalti (8) and Christina (28) each contributed one goal to steer their team to a massive victory.

Meanwhile, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University eked out a 1-0 win over Manipur University at Takyel.

Soni Monda netted the decisive goal in the 39th minute.
