Eight teams victorious in State 5-a-side football tourney

Imphal, September 01 2024: Eight teams registered victories in Sunday's fixtures of the 1st State Level Kangjam Rajesh Memorial 5-a-side Open Football Tournament 2024, organised by Ching Tam Social workers' Union, Bamon Kampu.

Atinga FC started the day with a 9-2 thrashing of ESC.

R Raj led the rout with four goals and Th Paikhomba netted a double, with Dinam, Lamjingba and P Herojit each contributing one goal in Atinga's commanding win.

For ESC, Dayamoi and Yuvraj scored a goal each.

In the second match, KFC carved out a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Junior FC as Sanaton scored a hat-trick, and Sashikumar and Alex added one each for the winning side.

The losing side got their goals through Shahbuddin (a double), Firdosh and Massh.

Meanwhile, Delson FC and AT Unit-13 (B) played out a 2-2 draw.

Lakhendra and Taibanganba scored for Del-son while Rahul and Th Hiffa converted for the opposition.

The day's fourth match saw PSD pull off a 3-1 victory over KSA.

Seraj starred for the winning team with two goals and teammate Panthoi contributing one.

For KSA, Rahul and Jamson were the scorers.

Premika FC secured a 4-2 success against BFC as Tarun turned out to be the hero, scoring all four goals in their triumph.

Jameson and N Kishan scored for the losing side.

Loitang FC beat Thoppa FC by a 4-2 margin with strikes from Robert, Loyanganba, Samarendra and Sadananda.

The opposition scored through Aman and Gaimeilan.

The match between ILU FC and Saturday Team ended in a 3-3 draw.

S Suraj collected all three goals for ILU FC while Poulinmei, Michael and O Bungo netted for Saturday Team.

IMA wrapped up the day's fixtures with a 6-1 thrashing of AKRUCO.

Y Nonglenba and K Brojen scored a tre ble each in their resounding victory.

H Arun was the lone scorer for AKRUCO.
