Imphal, December 20 2024: The Fit India Week observed by the Sports Authority of India North East Regional Center (SAINERC), Imphal was brought to a close today with an exhibition football match at artificial turf ground of SAINERC Imphal at Takyel.

The closing programme was attended by N Kunjarani, Commandant, Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing as chief guest; alongside Prof Indira Sarangthem, Central Agricultural University, Imphal; Laijing L Maring, Assistant Director (Pers and Admin), SAI NERC, Imphal; Shivam Yadav, Assistant Director (Infra and Coaching), SAI NERC Imphal; Laishram Samritya, Assistant Director (Khelo India), SAI NERC, Imphal as presidium members.

The exhibition football match was played between a team of Central Agricultural University, Imphal and Phouoibi football team wherein Central Agricultural University, Imphal emerged winners.

The importance and idea behind the observation of "Fit India Week" were also highlighted during the closing programme.
