Imphal, January 19 2022: Solid Rock and Cheengkhu YC saw off their respective rivals at District Sports Complex Chandel today to make themselves to the last 16 stage of the 1st Chandel Christian Village Cup 2022 .

Solid Rock were able to beat ACSUM 3-0 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time.

It was Jackpau who found the breakthrough for ACSUM in the 48th minute after a goalless first half draw only to be equalised two minutes later by TS Chandngam.

As the two sides remained unseparated, the winners were decided via kicks from the penalty mark in which Releave, Chungmei and Ango Singh all found the target and none of ACSUM managed to find the target.

Meanwhile, Cheengkhu YC edged out Liwa Khullen YC 2-1 to book a pre-quarter final berth thanks to goals by Benoson (42') and Roberth (63').The consolation goal for Liwa Khullen YC was scored by TS Monunge (55') .
