KSC get off to winning start as 2nd AMFA Cup kicks off

Kuki Sporting Club (KSC) dished out a 4-2 win over Kwasiphai Youths Volunteer Organisation (KYVO) in the opening match of the 2nd AMFA Cup at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong on Monday.
KSC gained the upper hand in the first half after a tight contest and they built on their first-half advantage.
It was Ginkholen Haokip who gave his side the lead in the 40th minute via a penalty kick.
KYVO levelled the score early in the second period after Lungdouba (47') converted from the penalty spot.
After a 1-1 tie, the KSC coach brought in Seigoumang Doungel and his decision was rewarded moments later as the striker put the team back in the lead with a sublime finish in the 68th minute.
Sensing the urgency, the squads turned up the intensity and KYVO clawed their way back into the game in the 83rd minute after Lungdouba scored his second goal.
KSC, however, regained their lead in the 88th minute with Seineo Kuki on target before Solomon Mangte put the game beyond doubt after finding the back of the net in the 90th minute as KSC got off to a winning start.
On Tuesday (September 13), LYSEDA will take on LYCC as AMOFA meet JSYC.
