Basketball Federation of India to conduct talent scouting

Imphal, June 12 2024: The Manipur Basketball Association has informed that Basketball Federation of India is set to conduct a talent scouting programme for U-14 boys and girls from June 22 to 23 at Guwahati with a vision to promote basketball in North East States.

The National federation will bear the travelling, boarding and lodging expenses for the players attending the scouting programme, said State's apex body of basketball in a release.

The athletes who earned selection during the scouting programme will be admitted to the National Basketball Academy where free education and training under foreign coaches will be provided, it added.

In view of the Guwahati programme, the association will conduct a State level trial to select five boys and girls on June 14 at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court at 6 am, it said while informing eligible intending players to report for the trial with their kits, birth certificates and Aadhaar cards.
