PFC advance to next stage of KC Mallick Memorial Football Tourney

Imphal, February 04 2023: PFC beat KSC 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw to advance into the next stage of the 29th KC Mallick Invitation Football Tournament organised by All Jiribam Sports Association at Jiribam Hr Secondary School playground.

KSC found the breakthrough early in the 5th minute through Haominlun but Henlungmon scored the equaliser for PFC in the 13th minute to settle the first half in a 1-1 draw.

Haominlun scored again in the 65th minute to retain the lead for KSC but PFC clawed back into the game with Letminlun scoring the equaliser in the 73rd minute.

With neither team able to break the deadlock till the end of regulation time, the game was decided via penalty shoot-out wherein Paolenlal, Vanchang, Henlungmon and Letminlun converted from the spot against only three scored for KSC by Manglun, Robert and Lalminlun after Jaco and Haominlun missed the target.
