FootGal 2019: VRF FC set up summit clash with LSC

Lamka Sports Club (LSC) and Victor Rest Farm FC tonight sealed their place in the final of the FootGal 2019, organised by District Administration, Churachandpur as part of its promotion on awareness of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, after beating their respective opponents in the semifinal matches.
Lamka Sports Club (LSC) secured a massive 10-0 win over Avoi FC in tonight's first semifinal encounter.
The match, right from the first whistle, belonged to LSC as they started superbly, pinging the ball from side to side and probing for openings behind their rivals' defence.
Four minutes into the game, LSC strike prodigy Ch Binomala Chanu made the breakthrough and opened the floodgate.
In a span of 11 minutes, LSC doubled their lead when Lalvarmoi slotted home another goal.
By halftime, the score line read 5-0 in favour of LSC thanks to a brace each from Ch Binomala Chanu and Lalvarmoi and a goal from Baby Lalchhandami.
Undaunted by the five goal deficit, Avoi FC fought back with all intensity but their rivals' defence foiled their efforts with ease in the second half.
In the meantime, Binomala Chanu hit three more goals in the second half while Lalvarmoi hit one more to complete a hat trick and Kimte Langel contributed one in LSC's 10-0 mauling of Avoi FC.
The second thrilling semifinal encounter saw an intense battle between Victor Rest Farm FC and HoMES FA wherein the former staged a 3-1 come-from-behind victory.
It was a feisty start to the game as both sides looked keen to take an early lead.
It was HoMES FA which drew the first blood as L Rejiya Devi handed the lead in the 4th minute.
However, the celebration was short lived as N Borkeina found the back of the net to cancel out the lead in the 11th minute.
VRF FC were in the driver's seat when Moibiaksiam booted home one in the 19th minute and the two sides went to the break with the 2-1 lead intact.
The intensity picked momentum in the second half as the two sides looked determined to find more goals.
N Borkeina scored one more in the 42nd minute.
The final match will take place on Oct 19 (Saturday) at 7.30 PM.
Traffic regulation awareness and demonstration by TCP, Churachandpur was another attraction in between the match tonight.
