LYA romp, SWC beat LMLCC in Kak Super Div League

Imphal, July 09 2024: LYA (Wangoo) and SWC (Keirak) prevailed in contrasting styles in Tuesday's action of the Kakching Super Division Football League 2024.A Narendra netted six goals as LYA ran riot to seal an emphatic 12-0 win over VBSA (Mantak) .

Narendra started off with a 19th-minute opener and P Goutam doubled the lead in the first minute of first-half added time before Narendra scored twice just before the halftime whistle.

Narendra continued his scoring spree, pumping in three more goals (50, 61, 63) .

The second-half barrage also saw S Yaifaba (53, 60) get a double, with Y William (64), with P Goutam (80+1) and A Manimatum (80+2) adding one each in their overwhelming victory.

Earlier in the day, M Shital scored a brace to guide SWC (Keirak) to a 3-2 triumph against LMLCC (Langmeidong) .

Shital put SWC in front in the 13th minute, but LMLCC responded in a matter of two minutes through Ch Rohit, before Shital scored his second goal in the 17th minute to restore SWC's lead.

After the restart, Y Aninash made it 3-1 in the 70th minute for SWC before Ch Naresh netted the opposition's second goal in vain.

YWU (Kakching) and SWC (Waikhong) are level on 18 points, but the former lead the point table on superior goal difference.

YWU have played seven games while SWC have played six matches.

SWC (Keirak) occupy third place with 12 points from their seven matches.
