Imphal, October 31 2026: A District-Level Women's Volleyball Championship (Under-18) under the SPANDAN (Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation) initiative of Khelo India concluded today at A/30 Bn CRPF, New Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi.

The championship was organised by 30 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), with the objective of promoting sports, physical fitness, discipline and sportsmanship among youth and strengthening the bond between security forces and the local community.

The programme was attended by Vikash Choudhary, Comdt, 30 Bn CRPF; Mahendra Singh, Subodh Kumar and Santosh Kumar, Assistant Commandants; Sameer Ahamed, Addl SP, and village chiefs-Kimnu of Thanglongmolbong, Helam of S Laijang and Hoinu of Bijang, along with other officials and sports enthusiasts.

In the keenly contested championship, Kotlen Youth Club emerged as winner and received a cash prize of Rs 30,000, while K Senam Youth Club finished runners-up with Rs 20,000 and S Sehjung Village secured third place with Rs 10,000 .

In individual honours, Neichinghat Khongsai was adjudged Best Defender, Lamjalhai Kipgen as Best Server, Nengboilhing Kipgen as Best Setter, Kholneihat Kipgen as Best Spiker and Hatnunnem Haokip as Best Player of the tournament.

Each received Rs.3,000 .

For their contribution to the smooth conduct of the championship, Referee Kikim Haokip received Rs 5,000, Linemen Shirah Hangshing and Chinhenjoy Singsit received Rs 4,000 each and Scorer Nengching Them Haokip received Rs 4,000 .

169 Bn CRPF is also set to organise a football tournament from November 3 to 6 at G/169 Bn CRPF, Leitanpokpi under the same banner.
