31st Jr Boys Inter Club Football; ESU thrash PAMYAL as KYVO hold SWC to goalless draw

ESU, Wangkhei earned their second Group A league win at the 31st Junior Boys Inter Club Football Tournament by thrashing PAMYAL, Patsoi by 4-1 goals today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
The day also saw KYVO, Kwa Siphai and SWC, Khongman share spoils after the two sides played out a goalless draw.
ESU, having won the opening game 3-0 against SWC, Khongman, successfully maintained their form by securing the huge win today although they started slowly and led the first half 1-0.It took only 6 minutes for the Wangkhei side to break the deadlock with P Naoba Meitei taking the strike.
The sudden lead forced PAMYAL defence to up their ante and eventually they held off latter efforts of ESU till the break.
The game however shifted its pace after the restart as ESU pushed more men in a bid to extend the lead and their relentless effort led to gradual collapse of PAMYAL defence.
It was M Arif who took the honour to hand ESU the second goal in the 39th minute and L Ngouba made it 3-0 in the 46th minute before Sh Rajdan Singh completed the team's scoring in the 51st minute.
PAMYAL which were kept on their toes for a better portion of the game however earned a face saving goal during the stoppage time (70+2) to make it 1-4 at the end.
Ideal FC will play NEROCA FC in a Group B league match next on December 30 at 8 am before SFC, Kakching meet IFC, Imphal West latter at 9.30 am .
