Imphal, July 03 2009: The 29th State Level Handball Tournament for senior men and women organised by Manipur Handball Association which begins on Wednesday at Khuman Lampak Outdoor Court, Imphal has entered its third day.

IMC and BBA played the first match of senior men today.

IMC won the match after defeating BBA 12-11.N Saratchandra of IMC scored four goals while his teammates Th Tunanbi and T Romen scored three and two goals respectively.

Th Milan, Ksh Lenin and Th Irananda scored one goal each against BBA in the match.

On the other hand, L Amuba of BBA scored five goals against IMC in the match.

His teammate L Kiran scored three goals.

Sh Herojit, Th Kiranjit and O Yaiphaba scored one goal each against BBA.

MPSC got walk over win in the second match of senior men as its opponent ESU did noit turned up at the venue.

The third match of senior men was played between Citizen and IMC.

IMC beat Citizen 17-6 and won the match.

N Sanathoi and Y Amardeep of Citizen scored two goals each while Md Haffiz and N Ibungcha scored one goal each against IMC in the match.

On the other hand, N Saratchandra of IMC scored four goals against Citizen in the match.

N Surjit and Th Irananda scored three goals each.

Ksh Lenin, Th Sanathoi and Th Tunanbi scored two goals each while their teammate L Dhiren scored one goal against Citizen in the match.

MPSC and YLK played the only match of senior women today.

MPSC beat YLK 18-8 and won the match.

N Sunibala of MPSC scored six goals against YLK.

W Sandhyarani scored four goals while Sh Inaocha scored three goals.

Ksh Apabi and N Punam scored two goals each while their teammate M Anandi scored one goal against YLK in the match.

On the other hand, S Sanatombi of YLK scored four goals against MPSC in the match while her teammate Ng Khomeiton scored two goals.

Th Bimolata and N Babina also scored one goal each against MPSC in the match.

The tournament has been scheduled to be concluded on July 4 next.
