Maram Battalion AR organises friendly basketball match

Imphal, May 27 2024: aram Battalion organised a "Friendly Basketball Match" with Makhan village team at battalion headquarters at Maram in Senapati district today.

The thrilling match saw an exhilarating and seesaw exhibition of sporting skills and was ultimately won by Assam Rifles team, said PRO IGAR (E) in a release.

As part of Fit India Campaign & Khelo India Mission and to promote Games and Sports in the Senapati region, Maram Battalion is actively promoting various types of sporting engagements with various teams within Senapati district, it said.

Through such sports activities Assam Rifles is regularly encouraging sense of teamwork, competition and instills values like discipline, perseverance, camaraderie and sportsmanship among the youth, it said.

The students and youth lauded this initiative of Maram Battalion Assam Rifles towards promoting sports, it continued.
